Pakistan: Rajab moon sighted.

The moon of the Islamic month, Rajab-ul-Murajjab 1439, has been sighted and the seventh month of the Hijra year will begin this night (March 19).

Jashne Zahoor e Moula Ali a.s, which is observed on 13th Rajab, will fall on 31 March.

Shab-e-Mairaj, which is observed on 27th Rajab, will fall at the night of April 13.

Importance of Rajab:

Rajab is widely known as one of the sacred months in Islam. It is sacred primarily because Allah Almighty has said it so in Quran, and secondly it is the month in which the event of “THE BIRTHDAY OF HAZRAT ALI IBN ABI TALIB 13th Rajab” and “THE NIGHT OF ISRA AND MAIRAJ” took place, which is still revered and celebrated by Muslims all over the world with religious zest and spirit.
